You don‘t always meet nice and friendly people when you travel. you also come across some unfriendly, money grubbing people. i was driving the whole day through country roads of the west part of morocco. haven‘t seen a single tourist. in the evening i arrived at this kasbah ruins. not a single soul in sight, didn‘t look very touristy either. the way to get there was a real pain in the a*s coz the road had more holes than all swiss cheeses together. but it was a beautiful place and castle! i decided to stay there for the night. 10 minutes later, a grumpy guy arrived and said he was the guard and told me i can not take any photos here whatsoever. and pay 5€ to park here. i didn‘t like the way he talked to me, very unfriendly and rude, not a single smile. so i decided to leave this place because i was not willing to pay money to such a person. i drove up the hill and came pass a few house with different animals and lots of land around. i asked the people there if i could just park near their house on a a little hill. they didn’t speak english or french or anything i would understand, but they were completely happy and wanted me to park on their parking space right in front of their house. i thanked them from the bottom of my heart and tried to explain that i liked the view on the little hill where i could just catch the very last seconds of the sunset. later that evening, another man came and asked me if i need anything, and that i could always come and stay at his house, or come for breakfast. the next morning, the workers who were building a mosque there, invited me for tea and bread. it made me all forget about the grumpy, unfriendly guy from the day before. #martinagoesmorocco
Because i can‘t get enough of this place!
I’t’s nice to go through my moroccan photos from time to time. because each photo has a story and memories behind.
i looked for a remote place to spend the night. i thought i found it until a man walked pass and invited me to his house and have dinner with his family. we didn‘t speak eachothers language, but sometimes google translation comes in handy. it was dark already and i prefered to stay at this spot because i couldn‘t see the road‘s condition in the dark. told him that i will come by his house the next morning. he left and half an hour later he came back with bread, eggs, and cookies. the next morning i went to look for his house. i drove quite a while along this dirt road until i arrived there. no phone signal, no other house in sight. they all welcomed me with big smiles and of course i had to have tea and breakfast before i could leave again. all communication was just with smiles and hands. #martinagoesmorocco

I thought it‘s time again for a bedroom view post. the last time i posted one was winter. so here it is, the summer view from my bed this morning at 6:40. i love going to bed seeing the stars, and waking up with the sun shining on my face. to be honest, sometimes i close to curtains in the morning to be able to sleep a bit more. sun is up early these days!! 🙈

Mountain love. it’s a love realtionship i would never quit on. 💙
Pretty much exactly 5 years ago @instagram featured me and my fiat500 on their page. that‘s when my big instagram adventure really started to hit off. i always get asked how i got so many followers. and this is the answer, it was thanks to that instagram feature 5 years ago. and also maybe my photos don‘t look too bad? maybe i have the cutest cars on earth? i don’t know. all i know is i was lucky that instagram posted a story about me. and for that, you need to be somewhat unique. be unique, don’t be 08/15 (how we say it in switzerland). be yourself, don’t try to be someone else. that’s all i can say. i don’t have a secret recipe how to become famous on instagram. it was never my intension to get to this point where i am now. i was just lucky and take nice photos that people like. thank you all who have been sticking around for all these years, and thanks a lot to all my new followers. you are awesome! have a lovely sunday!
