The 2018 world cup is here and the tournament's matches will be played in 12 arenas across 11 cities. russia is the largest country on the planet, making traveling between games more difficult compared to world cups of the past. as you'll see, some teams will have fairly reasonable travel demands to make it from match to match, while some others will have a far tougher time when it comes to getting to the stadium on gameday.

Tiger woods' $20 million luxury yacht, privacy, was seen docked in the hamptons, where it's staying during the us open golf tournament.
at 155 feet, privacy is slightly longer than the 151-foot tall statue of liberty. while privacy is bigger than the luxury yachts owned by other celebrities, it has nothing on steve jobs' or paul allen's yachts. swipe to see more famous yacht sizes.

Having a few good cocktail recipes in your back pocket is arguably the best accessory you can carry. 🍹🍸🥃
but overstocking your home bar and trying to learn a bunch of drinks all at once isn’t a good idea. start with one recipe, make it a few times, and then move on to another drink that uses similar ingredients.
here’s how to make four classic drinks—just in time for summer rooftop parties and vacations!

Swipe to see more.

the iphone 8 is the natural evolution of apple’s previous designs and even has a better battery life than the iphone x. however, it doesn’t come cheap.

in the us, before taxes and other fees, the iphone 8 costs $699 for 64 gb of storage, or $849 for 256 gb. (the larger iphone 8 plus starts at $799 and $949 for the same storage options.) it's only more expensive in other countries.

the iphone 8 costs over $250 more in countries like the united kingdom and italy, but it's most expensive in brazil, where the phone costs a whopping $450 more than it does in the us. brazil has long been the most expensive place in the world to buy an iphone — mainly because the country applies a high flat import tax on most manufactured retail goods.

If you’re looking to get in shape for the summer, anna kaiser (@theannakaiser ), a celebrity fitness trainer, recommends a few simple, dynamic moves that she says can produce better results than the typical sit ups, crunches, or squats that many people rely on at the gym. she has worked with celebrity clients like shakira, karlie kloss, sofia vergara, kelly ripa, and sarah jessica parker.

she offers a key piece of advice for those trying these moves: “higher reps, lower weights.“ that means repeating the motion more times with lighter weights, rather than using heavy ones that limit how many repetitions you can manage.

here’s how to do kaiser’s three moves, which you can practice almost anywhere. 🏖💪☀️

The united states is home to many different regions and subregions, and there’s plenty of debate over which region certain states fall in. the us census bureau has used the same regional definitions since 1950. the bureau divides the us into four regions — northeast, midwest, south, and west — and nine subregions.

the northeast: maine, new hampshire, vermont, massachusetts, rhode island, connecticut, new york, new jersey, and pennsylvania.

the midwest: ohio, michigan, indiana, wisconsin, illinois, minnesota, iowa, missouri, north dakota, south dakota, nebraska, and kansas.

the south: delaware, maryland, virginia, west virginia, kentucky, north carolina, south carolina, tennessee, georgia, florida, alabama, mississippi, arkansas, louisiana, texas, and oklahoma. washington, dc, is also included in the south.

the west: montana, idaho, wyoming, colorado, new mexico, arizona, utah, nevada, california, oregon, washington, alaska, and hawaii.

College tuition has been getting more expensive, and costs widely vary among the country's colleges and universities.

using data from the us department of education's integrated postsecondary education data system program, we found the most expensive four-year, primarily baccalaureate and above degree-granting institution with at least 500 students enrolled in fall 2016, based on reported tuition, board, and other costs for the 2016-2017 school year for out-of-state students.

It’s #teacherappreciationweek but not all teachers around the world are paid equally.
according to data released by the oecd, the starting salary for a high school teacher with no experience in the country is about $79,000. the peak salary for a veteran teacher is $137,000.

the oecd's full data set reveals a yawning gap between the highest and lowest paid teachers around the world. when converted to us dollars, many of the salaries fall well short of the average american teacher, who makes $44,000 starting out and approximately $68,000 at the upper end.
