this is one of my favourite shots from one of my favourite places; the salt flats of wyndham 🙌
wyndham, the sleepy town nestled on the banks of the cambridge gulf, has quite a history.
it’s also where the five major river systems of the east kimberley converge and feed into the gulf in a spectacular display.
pictured is the king river engrossed by the stunning salt flats. peeking in the backdrop is the cockburn range (pronounced co-burn) named by alexander forrest after sir george cockburn who conveyed napoleon from his defeat in waterloo to the island of saint helena.

the kimberley is full of not only a ton of natural beauty but also a lot of history so there is something for everyone’s interests 😊
