Raspberry coconut cream parfait 🍨 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
because sometimes you need something sweet & you need it in less than 25 min! this dessert is insanely simple to throw together. its paleo & keto friendly. it’s also gluten, dairy & grain-free. and i’m sharing the recipe here for you (in case you wanna make it asap 😋): ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
crumble ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 cup almond flour ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 cup chopped pecans & almonds ⠀
1/3 cup @lakantosweetener ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4 tbsp melted coconut oil ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
pinch of sea salt ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
mix 👆🏼together. bake on a cookie sheet at 375f for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through. while your crumble bakes work on your other layers 👇🏼. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
raspberry layer ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 cup raspberries (i used frozen which i thawed) ⠀⠀
2 tsp @lakantosweetener ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 tsp vanilla extract ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
mix ☝🏼 together & set aside for now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
coconut cream whip ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 can full f*t coconut milk, chilled in the refrigerator overnight ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 tsp vanilla extract ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 tsp @lakantosweetener ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
flip your can of coconut milk upside down & scoop out the cream (refrigerating it will help separate the cream from the liquid). using a hand mixer, blend the coconut cream, vanilla & lakanto together until it looks smooth & creamy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
assembly ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
- portion a bit of the crumble into a serving bowl, layer with the raspberry jam, then a generous amount of the coconut cream whip & if you’d like shave some good quality dark chocolate on top. i used @naturescanada 70%. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Perfect time of year for warming bowls of curry 🍛 don’t you think? i’ve been in the kitchen a lot lately recipe testing & last night i made the most delicious thai coconut curry chicken dish. we kept ours paleo & served it over cauliflower 🍚 ⠀⠀⠀⠀

How often have you heard that food is medicine? this pesto is a perfect example of how food can play an important role in healing, this particular recipe being an excellent component to add to a heavy metal detox. the main ingredients here support a detox for mercury and lead, both neurotoxins that we all have some degree of exposure to, whether from household products, paint, vaccines, makeup, tattoos, traffic fumes, dental amalgams, farmed fish, etcetera. how well we filter out these toxins depends on our bodies and the amount we are exposed to, so a little help from a delicious snack can’t hurt! 🌿cilantro is the main herb used for its chelating effect . it is known to be able to bind to mercury and escort it out for excretion. it also prevents the absorption of lead into bone. studies also show that the antimicrobial properties of cilantro are twice as effective as the antibiotic used for salmonella! 🌿brazil nuts are added for selenium - an antioxidant mineral that protects against free radical damage. it is also known to bind with mercury and as a new mercury-selenium substance, it does not get absorbed by the body and gets excreted. 🌿 finally, with a good dose of garlic, the recipe is loaded with sulfur which is needed for the body’s production of glutathione - a key component in any detox. 🌿 this trio produces a savoury spread for crackers, a sauce over zoodles, or any other pesto favourite. full recipe in stories/recipes above! #armyourself #detox #recipe #heavymetaldetox
