Finally got to do some legs for the first time in three weeks!! (because of a sprained ankle).⁣⁣
⁣⁣
it was a bit of a w****e workout compared to my usual intensity, but i don’t want to push things and make my ankle bad again so i took it easy. exercises shown are squats, hip thrust, dumbbell straight leg deadlifts, dumbbell split squats, and cable kick backs. 🍑 ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
after this workout i laid down on the floor of the gym and cried cause i got very anxious and overwhelmed thinking about the day ahead of me lol. i touch on this subject briefly at times, but mental health is a bit of a struggle for me. i’ve been doing pretty well lately and have been proud of myself for not getting too caught up with my anxiety, but of course not every day is going to be perfect and there’s gonna be ups and downs. sharing this because i know a lot of you relate to this as well. if anyone else is feeling rough today- you got this. this is a reminder to you (and myself, i need this too lol) to just keep breathing, take the day one hour at a time. we got this🖤⁣

Surprisingly enough, first time doing box squats! to be honest, never needed to before, but now this is the only type of squats i can do without the knee pain!
🏋🏽‍♀️
i try to keep my feet a bit further away and try to sit back to take the pressure off the knees! yes this does put a bit more strain on the lower back but that can be manageable if you are careful and keep the weights a bit lighter!
🏋🏽‍♀️
this is a good alternative again for any fellow knee sufferers to help keep those gains while you recover or even a good way to build up weight for your regular squats!

Utorak je,i ako je hladno i tmurno,ipak je prva nedelja u mesecu,što znači nova nedelja,nova prilika. kao i uvek početak radne nedelje je dobro započeti treningom nogu a i da se razbije ovaj tmuran dan.

jednostavno završi trening sa ovim vežbama i gotov si. wow brutalno je,probaj,baci ❤ i sačuvaj. ◾3 vežbe ukupno
◾1 minut radiš
◾3 seta ◾1 minut odmora izmedju seta

no words to describe the feeling of getting this after the past 18 months, which included 7 months of no squatting at all & 5 months of no heavy deadlifting.

285 for 3 reps then a set of 20 reps... with lighter weight of course. quads feel good but my hamstrings are still sore from the good mornings i finished with.

This is literally a screenshot from today’s workout challenge video from my current group 😅 sorry not sorry
i’m just feeling really good about myself & it feels amazing to be able to look at videos/pictures of myself where i’m not anywhere near my smallest and actually like them. for years even when i was tinyyyy i would look at every single picture and hate it and think i looked huge. i feel like i’m finally getting over my bad self image and i can now feel good at any weight or appearance. this also goes to show that missing the gym for a little while really is not that big of a deal and won’t have a huge impact on your physique. yes, the gym is important and good for your health. but it’s also not something you should feel obliged to continue to do while you have any type of injury 🤗

I can't think of a better way to stay my holidays than doing squat prs with my coaches. hell yeah!!! i'm still fired up about it.!!! gah!!! from 185lbs a year ago to 220lbs here. can't complain with a 35lb increase. so happy and thankful with all the coaching/tips/critiquing i've gotten from @barbell_junkie & @biancaliberatore3 that has me feeling better than ever in the gym and loving my workouts more than ever. thanks you two for the support and being there to fire me up and buy me pr pizza afterwards 😁 👊
