happy friday, my loves!! ah, how i miss you all! so, i know i’ve said this a dozen times over the last 6 months, but i’m back! almost..i definitely want to be back, but also, right now, right now, i still have lots going on.

i definitely wish i can tell everyone, everything... but like, ig has caption limits and i’d rather not bore you all. there are a few of you that i’ve kept in regular contact with and who are already aware (huge shoutout to you all!! 😘💜) but last november i filed for divorce after 12 years of marriage. the details are unnecessary but it was definitely a decision i needed to make for me and as hard as it was, i knew it was for the best. it was a long, emotional process but on 3/22 at 3:32, our marriage was officially dissolved. i’ve been spending the last few weeks since just trying to finally, truly, get my life back. i’m almost ashamed to admit that i’ve read 5 books now this year, and 3 of them were in the last 2 weeks. 🙊

one of those books was the guernsey literary and potato peel pie society that i buddy read with one of my favorites, . such a great read!! it’s written in back and forth letters which made it an easy read for me.

anyway, lots more going on in my world, but again, caption limits. how is everyone else?! what’s everyone reading?! what’s your favorite book so far this year? any fun plans this weekend?! gah! tell me all the things!

gorgeous watch from ! use my code booksncoffee for 15% off!

what was your favorite read of summer? 🍂
☕️
to be completely honest i never thought that this book would be my favorite, but it ended up being one of my favorite reads of this year 📖 at first i thought i wouldn't really enjoy it because it sounded very different from what i usually read but it ended up being the perfect mix of genres with the perfect mix of characters
☕️
it's a mystery/thriller and it might not suit everyone (i've read some very mixed reviews) however, i honestly enjoyed it and i appreciated how gripping this book is, especially after being a reading slump, so check it out and if you do read it, tell me what you thought of it?

that feeling when it’s friday, you have a long weekend ahead of you, and you’re finally able to announce a project that’s been in the works for a little while!!😱📚🕵🏻‍♀️

drumroll..... i’m so excited to share that, starting this month, i’m collaborating with the awesome folks over at criminal element (a crime fiction website) on a brand-new project!!! 🎉 •
you guys are already familiar with my monthly “recommended releases” blog posts - well, i’m now teaming up with criminal element to bring a similar kind of post to their readers every month, too. 😍 (don’t worry - my recommended release lists will continue on as usual!!) at the end of each month, i’ll be writing a “best books of the month” post for criminal element... but it’ll have a little twist! where my recommend release lists on cbtb are straightforward roundups of the new releases i’m recommending each month, my criminal element column will be based on categories that highlight specific components that i loved about each book on the list. (things like “best cover of the month,” “best narrator,” you get the idea!!) this will give me even more opportunity to highlight additional new releases, and it’s just so fun to play around with these categories. 🤓👌🏻 these categories will change on a monthly basis, too - so i’d love to hear from you if there’s a fun category you’d be interested in me using!! 🔎 •
so what do the 3 books pictured have in common? these are all books that appear in my very first column for criminal element!!!😍🎉 you can scoot on over to see my column - and to figure out which categories these books fall under! - via the link in my profile ❤️ i’m so, so excited about this new partnership - over the past few months i’ve gotten to know the criminal element team so much better, and it’s just so fun getting to work more with people who love the crime genre as much as i do. i hope you guys will enjoy checking out the post as much as i enjoyed putting it together! 🕵🏻‍♀️

Tag someone that needs to hear this today. if there are things blocking you, if there's fear obstructing you, if you're lack of confidence is holding you back, realise that these are symptoms of not being clear enough. the more clarity you uncover, the less obstacles you have.

The challenge isn't whether you're good enough, or whether you know you're stuff. the question is how do you convince your potential customers that you're excellent, and that you're better than the rest? here's the answer! watch now and tell me what you think. 👊🏽

more scribbles on my blog, this time about my dreams of reading 52 books in a year (probably not this year at this stage!), and generally just looking for some recommendations on more books to read ♥️ link in bio 👀 #linkinbio #botanicgardens #readinglists #quiet

This month has been a slower reading month for me, but a lot has been going on. most of my book consumption has been in audio form, because i haven't had much time to sit down and read something in hard copy. i'm really hoping that october sees some changes to that. i have so many books i want to devour! what are you reading right now?
