Skillet garlic butter herb steak & potatoes😍😋 .

ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound yukon gold potatoes, sliced about ½ inch in thickness
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon thyme, chopped
1 teaspoon rosemary, chopped
1 teaspoon oregano, chopped
2 lean new york steak s***p steaks
salt & pepper
garlic butter compound:
¼ cup softened butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon thyme, chopped
1 teaspoon rosemary, chopped
1 teaspoon oregano, chopped .
instructions
in a large cast iron skillet over medium high heat, add olive oil & butter, potatoes, garlic, thyme, rosemary & oregano. cook for about 3 minutes, stir & cook and additional 3 minutes or until fork tender. remove & set on a plate.
turn the skillet to high heat. add the steaks. cook on each side for 3 minutes or until outside is browned. reduce heat to medium high. cook the steaks to desired doneness. mine took about 10 minutes flipping 3 times to get a medium well.
right before the steaks are done, make the garlic butter compound. mix the butter, garlic & fresh chopped herbs. slather on top of steaks. add the potatoes back to the pan and heat through and let the butter melt into the steaks.

When you have a workout at 10 and a safari at 11:30. (photos and spectating only safari of course!) 🐆something personal about me. i used to be far more self conscious of what i wore and how i stood/walked. i hated being tall. i never wore heels in high school and barely got into them in college. i would legit find the shoes with the slimmest soles possible to buy myself (or my mom) and wear those while borderline hunching so my height wouldn’t be noticed. i tried so hard to blend in so i wouldn’t stand out. i think i was afraid to be noticed and be picked on to be honest. it obviously didn’t work too well because i was still made fun of lol a few kids called me geoffrey the giraffe 🦒 lol (because i was tall, get it?) my boyfriends name is jeffery btw 😂 just realized that. (because geoffrey and jeffery, get it?) but it’s still so crazy to me that i will literally wear the loudest patterns and outfits, i walk with my head up and shoulders back, promote body and self confidence/positivity and could give two s***s about how tall my shoes make me look. 👏🏽 isn’t it crazy how we change as we grow? duh lol hot take right? 😂 we all know it happens obviously but sometimes taking a sec to look back really makes you grateful for the time we’ve been alive to learn and grow. what are some things you’ve noticed have changed for you over the years? ______________________________________________outfit by @tilyoucollapse code ash10 for 10% off! 👍🏽

▫️2 latas de salmão @mercadona_portugal [👉📷] (~100g)

▫️30g de flocos de aveia

▫️ervas aromáticas a gosto (alho e cebola moídos, orégãos e mix p/ pratos de peixe)
preparação:
misturar todos os ingredientes, moldar cuidadosamente os hambúrgueres c/ as mãos e cozinhar numa frigideira antiaderente (tb deve resultar no forno). quem vai experimentar? quero ver os vossos 🍔 depois! 🧐😘

cuando les da ansiedad poco después de haber comido significa que no están comiendo bien, ni en las proporciones adecuadas y tampoco en la calidad adecuada.

por lo regular tendemos a satanizar un alimento con respecto al otro y en realidad no hay un alimento en si que te haga engordar, si no más bien el exceso y el total calorías. tampoco retirar los carbs te hará adelgazar. comer balanceado y completo (pero en las proporciones adecuadas) te ayudará no solo a controlar tu peso si no también a controlar tu ansiedad.

hace ya varios meses que quería hacer esta receta tan característica de la india, pero no encontraba las especias en polvo por ningún lado hasta que el otro día las ví en lidl en la sección de productos asiáticos 👏🏼👏🏼 .
los ingredientes para el guiso son (2-3 raciones)
.
- 250 g de seitán (yo lo compré en lonchas gruesas para hacer dados)
.
- 1/2 cebolla
.
- 1 zanahoria
.
- 2 cucharadas de especias tikka
.
- 1 cucharadita de ajo en polvo
.
- 1/2 cucharadita de jengibre en polvo
.
- 200 g de yogur de soja-coco
.
- 1 lata de tomate triturado natural (400g)
.
- 2 cucharadas de aove
.
- sal y pimienta negra
.
🔥pelamos y cortamos en cuadraditos la cebolla y zanahoria, la ponemos en una olla con el aceite y dejamos que se haga a fuego medio-bajo hasta que estén algo blanditas
.
🔥añadimos el ajo, el jengibre, la sal, la pimienta y las especias tikka. removemos. .
🔥 añadimos el tomate y dejamos que se haga durante 15 minutos a fuego bajo
.
🔥 ponemos el seitán cortado en cuadraditos y el yogur. dejamos que se haga a fuego bajo 5 minutos más
.
🔥 una vez pasado el tiempo, retiramos del fuego y emplatamos con arroz blanco o basmati .

Ingredientes
 2 unidades de bife grande de alcatra
 3 dentes de alho
 ½ cebola ralada
 ½ abobrinha fatiada em lascas médias
 ½ cenoura fatiada em lascas médias
 1 xícara (chá) de molho de tomate fresco
 1 ramo de manjericão fresco- usar as folhas
 2 colheres (sopa) de aveia em flocos grossos.
 salsinha a gosto
 fio de azeite para refogar
 sal a gosto

modo de preparo

aqueça o azeite em uma panela e coloque o alho e a cebola para dourarem. em seguida coloque sal, salsinha, abobrinha, cenoura e refogue por alguns minutos. passe os bifes de alcatra por alguns segundos. depois coloque os bifes na aveia, como se fosse empanado. recheie cada bife com os legumes e enrole-os. prenda-os com o palito de dente para segurar. coloque-os em uma assadeira, com metade da quantidade do molho fresco por cima e cubra-os com o papel alumínio. leve ao forno alto, por 15 minutos. desligue o forno e deixe-os por mais 10 minutos. após assados, coloque a outa metade do molho de tomate fresco e acrescente as folhas de manjericão e sirva-os.

ingredients: (serves 4)
2 lbs organic boneless, skinless chicken b*****s
2 lemons, thinly sliced
4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 bunch of organic broccolini, cleaned and ends trimmed, cut lengthwise in half
1 small bundle organic long carrots, cleaned and ends trimmed
1 bunch organic fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
organic black pepper to taste
¼ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

prep: 30 minutes
preheat the oven to 425 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
in a large bowl, toss together the chicken, lemon slices, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, chopped parsley and chili flakes (optional). spread this mixture over the baking sheet and roast for about 10 minutes.
while the chicken is roasting, in a separate large bowl, toss together the broccolini, carrots and remaining olive oil.
add this veggie mixture to the baking sheet with the chicken mixture. give it a quick toss to combine the flavors.
bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the broccolini is crispy. make sure your chicken is fully cooked.
serve immediately and enjoy!

💙happy humpday beautiful💙 i thought it would be appropriate to highlight some extremely important tips when it comes to building and changing the glutes, whilst showing my own glute growth over the last 4 years! ✖️eating in a surplus✖️when you are in your offseason, or wanting to build muscle especially the glutes yes you are going to need good, wholesome food to build those glutes l. including carbohydrates before and after training is essential for muscle growth and ensuring proper protein intake! ✖️training heavy and consistently✖️i have found doing the similar movements over time has helped build my glutes. this primarily being sumo squats, normal squats, glute thrusts, and different variations of lunges such as curtsey lunges, backwards and walking lunges. all with added weight to ensure optional glute growth. also with these exercises making sure to target all parts of the glute area.
✖️frequently training✖️i like to hit the legs and glutes 3x per week. one day quads and glutes. the next is glutes primarily on their own and then the third day is hamstrings with glutes. it is so important to frequently train the areas you feel are weaker but also the bigger the muscle group i feel it is important to frequently train it to ensure it is use properly. everyone has a different opinion but this is what works for me! ✖️ rest and recovery✖️this is extremely important just as important as training them. you need to ensure you are resting, stretching, even going for regular massages if you can to ensure no knots which is something i have learnt the hard way from and can influence the way you train and the way your glutes can grow!

A food allergy is when your system has an inflated immune response against the protein component in a specific food. because of this, i’ve often found egg allergies as the pinnacle of understanding clients’ overall health and wellness. meaning: the more compromised a system, the more likely an egg allergy is to occur. the inverse of this is also true. thus, depending on your gastrointestinal health, food allergies can change (disappear, reappear, alter altogether) throughout your life. i am skeptical of those hippy-dippy blanket allergy tests that diagnose you as x percent allergic to this and y percent allergic to that. this science is faulty at worst and fluctuates at best. instead of stressing the system with a new slew of foods you can’t eat, begin to notice how you feel when you eat certain things. i believe we all intrinsically know what is right for us and what isn’t. it is up to us to listen to inner wisdom. ✨

Whole wheat lemon chia seed muffins with a sweet glaze

these are delightful. they’re fluffy, full of flavor, and simple to make. recipe is below! substitutions are included at the bottom.

ingredients for the muffins
1 1/2 cups white whole wheat flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
2/3 cup olive oil
1 cup almond milk
juice and zest of 1 lemon
2 tbsp chia seeds

ingredients for the glaze
1/2 cup packed confectioners sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp almond milk
1 tsp chia seeds

preheat the oven to 375 degrees. sift together all dry ingredients but the chia seeds in one mixing bowl and whisk together all wet ingredients but the lemon zest in a separate mixing bowl. make a shallow well in the dry ingredients and add the wet ingredients. stir until everything is just combined. fold in the chia seeds and lemon zest. fill muffin cups 3/4 of the way full and bake for 25 minutes. to make the glaze, stir together the glaze ingredients in a small bowl. let the muffins cool slightly before topping with the glaze. makes 12 muffins.

substitutions:
flour: can sub regular whole wheat flour or all purpose flour for a more moist texture (have not tried a gf flour)
sugar: can use any granulated sugar, honey, or maple syrup
oil: can sub melted coconut oil, melted butter, or vegetable oil
milk: can sub milk of choice
chia seeds: can sub poppyseeds
glaze: can sub melted coconut butter mixed with a little bit of lemon juice and chia seeds
