Popped in here on sunday for lunch, this lovely cafe nestled in a quiet corner in between pak kung street and gillies avenue north. with warm and cozy atmosphere makes it a relaxing place for you to take a break and have a sip of coffee, or to enjoy a full meal in a comfy environment at any time!
we choose to sit at the counter by the window which is nice to enjoy the sunlight streaming in while enjoying our sunday meal.

smoked salmon salad (hk$78)
a simple and healthy veggie salad with smoked salmon kick started our meal, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, such a refreshing start.

australian wagyu, foie gras cheese burger (hk$158)
with multiple ingredients - australian wagyu beef, foie gras, cheese, mushroom, tomato and lettuce. i liked the chunky, tender piece of wagyu patty which match the buttery foie gras perfectly. the hand-cut fries on the side are deliciously crispy too.

the texture of the linguine was just right, al dente with a little bite. for a little flavour boost, the garlic and the chilli added that extra kick to elevate the taste!

一般,酸辣味唔夠,配河粉質感麻麻,配米線應該會好啲🍜。海鮮得幾隻蝦同一隻青口,青口殼仲要核核突突似喺坑渠撈上黎咁款🥶。

熱辣辣,個邊都燒得幾焦脆,配蜜汁食唔錯🥰。不過肉質偏硬,無豬頸肉爽口彈牙既感覺。

Dessert platter (hk$99)
when you visit this japanese restaurant, this is a must order. the platter includes 65% chocolate lava pudding, vanilla soft served ice cream, red beans matcha warabi, raindrop cake and milk jelly. so many calories but it looks totally worth it!

今日小編突然間想食海南雞嘅心情又走咗出嚟🤗就係個bookmark list裏面揀咗呢一間喺北角,而且同地鐵站相當近嘅小店去試吓😋
瓊媽媽係一間主打做海南雞飯嘅小店,由三位來自海南島嘅同鄉姊妹主理☺️平均日賣500盒海南雞飯😯而且佢哋喺深圳自設雞場飼養走地雞,每日凌晨將雞劏好之後就會即刻送來香港烹調,確保新鮮😆

海南雞🐓依照海南人嘅地道做法,將雞又浸又焗,再浸係冰水入面令雞皮變得爽滑😜油飯就加入左爆香過嘅蒜蓉、薑蓉、雞湯、新鮮椰漿、香茅、乾蔥同芫荽去煮😌豉油方面亦都加入左新鮮海南島桔仔汁入去製作,帶出鮮味🤪
海南雞嘅肉質睇落好有光澤,而且份量都算幾多😜感覺上亦非常鮮嫩。不過一夾起身就發現原來海南雞都幾油膩下,裏面有成舊脂肪喺度都幾恐怖😨但係入口味道方面,雞肉嘅肉質非常嫩滑,一啲都唔嚡口😍而且入口食落亦非常有雞味🤗沾上自家特製嘅豉油一齊食,海南雞入口嘅味道就更加豐富,反而會多咗一種清新嘅香味😜而且入口食物感覺上亦都冇咁油膩。至於個油飯方面,入口嘅椰奶味都幾香,隱約都食到有少少香茅嘅味道,而且又返入口食落嘅口感亦唔會太乾身,帶有少少濕潤嘅感覺,而且啲飯粒粒粒分明。整體來講😉成個海南雞飯嘅味道都相當唔錯,入口食落亦相當有雞味,只係雞肉夾起身油膩左少少個下扣左啲啲分😎

雞先以老火湯熬製,然後人手去雞皮,去骨,撕成條狀😚再把芝麻醬同青檸汁淋在雞肉上。而菜飯採用左泰國米配搭上用薑粒爆過既上海小棠菜😙
手撕雞嘅份量都算幾多,啱啱好可以撈埋個菜飯一齊食😏而入口味道方面,手撕雞入口味道酸酸甜甜咁非常開胃,隱約有帶有少少雞肉嘅香味。而且手撕雞入口口感肉質爽嫩,估唔到竟然有意外驚喜😋而菜飯方面,米飯入口有淡淡的菜味,而且小棠菜嘅質感亦都令成碗飯嘅口感更加豐富,配上手撕雞一齊食個味道亦都非常匹配😘暨食到有雞肉嘅香味又隱約帶有淡淡的菜香味😊整體來講,雖然小店主打做海南雞,但手撕雞入口味道亦相當唔錯,而且感覺上完全一啲都唔油膩,配上菜飯一齊食感覺上亦相當健康😳
