Would you bend the knee for the snow queen? β„οΈπŸ‘‘πŸ₯ i personally would but sprig isn’t so sure. he backs down when winter’s sass level is high but then he’ll challenge her at other times. we will see...

Remember when these two were a couple? for those who are new to the account and missed all the drama that went on after rain passed and willow joined the flock, let me give a recap. winter and sprig were a bonded pair, river and rain were not only bonded but completely in love. when rain passed, we brought in willow hoping for her and river to bond. instead, sprig fell head over heels and left winter. reluctantly, winter and river eventually paired up. now, both new pairings seem very happy. sprig rules the flock. well, that is he did until yesterday. after about 4-5 days spent with the pairs separated in their outside aviaries, when reunited, winter decided it was time for the snow queen to reign. and when winter turns on the sass, no one can match it. she even had river hopping to her demands πŸ™Š it might be wrong of me, but i couldn’t help myself, in my mind i was totally cheering her on πŸ˜‚πŸ’ͺπŸΌβ„οΈπŸ‘‘ #reignofthesnowqueen #keepingupwiththefloofs
thank you to all who left comments for me and brin’s family on our last post. we felt the love and appreciate it so very much πŸ™πŸΌβ€οΈ

The face off 🧚‍♀️πŸ’ͺ🏼🧚🏻‍♂️
i still have about 3 or 4 hummingbirds left who are busy at the task of doubling up their body size for the long trek south. they’re chubby little bodies are ridiculously cute. i dread the morning that will come soon, when i walk out to silence. no chattering, no buzzing sounds as they chase each other, no little fairies hovering in front of me questioningly. fortunately, i have thousands of pictures of them to go through and edit in their absence. i’ve decided to post them mostly on my @blooms.everafter account with an occasional post here. so if you’ve enjoyed seeing my images of these little ones and want to see more, please check my other account. they may leave my garden for the winter but they’ll still be showing up in my gallery 😊

My girls πŸ’— their relationship has evolved over time. in the beginning freya played a maternal role. then pippa became more independent as an adult and she and rocco were inseparable. now the girls seem to be getting closer again. it makes me so happy to see it. i love this throwback of them ☺️

I was going for an eyeball shot when he gave me the cutest little blep πŸ˜›πŸ˜»
ever has gone from a screaming, getting into everything, making you question why the heck you thought a cat was a good idea, crazy kitten to such a sweet, amazing boy over the past year. he still can wail like he’s being tortured if i take the dogs out without him and he amuses himself with things like using his nose or paw to turn our touch faucet on and off (on repeat for as long as i let it go on πŸ™ˆ) knocking over any drinks left lying around and pouncing on me from the shadows (i’m always looking over my shoulder) 😼 but he is just the most awesome, fun cat with an immense and expressive vocabulary. he’s happy to chill with the dogs or bird watch from his cat tower all day yet he’ll jump up at the sight of his harness, ready to go have adventures outside. such a character. he makes us laugh all the time and we love him so very much πŸ’™
it’s been awhile since i’ve done a monday morning ramble hasn’t it? πŸ˜… have a great week everyone!
