What a week it has been!

from one drama to the next, flooded house, one broken car turned into two broken cars, bad news after bad news... then more bad news!
trust me when i say there's a hundred things that have happened this week that could of resorted into me throwing in the towel and giving up but what's giving up going to achieve for me? i have not worked this g*****n hard to only come to this point - i always want more. i have a vision and i will not stop until i get there - with bells on!

the old me would of comfort eat, thrown in the towel, lost motivation...now if somethings in my way or stops me in my tracks i see it as fuel and motivation to carry on moving forward. yeah some days are hard but my vision and motivation is far more than my excuses!
if iv needed rest or a break i do so without punishing myself.
that's work, fitness, home - all of it, mindset is so powerful!... its taken me a hell of a long time to learn! i'm still learning - getting there slowly.

i have hit lots of pbs this week! i'm feeling strong, focused and motivated - nothing will stop me at the moment 👊

Member simon kings amazing body transformation over the past 7 weeks simons been attending the classes and following the lean gains plan. great to see him getting stuck in and working hard but more importantly feeling better about himself here’s what he had to say below... as you may be aware from recent posts, my fantastic work colleagues and myself decided at the beginning of the year to take on a challenge to "lose a site technician" meaning that between 19 of us we had to lose a total of 22st in order to raise money for the charity calm. the campaign against living miserably (calm) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the uk.
wth myself i set a target of 1st 4lb loss. being naturally slim(ish)🙈, i knew this would be a massive challenge so i re-joined the pt studio wigan where i have been put through my paces with intense training sessions over the last 8 weeks and i have been fueling my body with the correct macro nutrients it needs to transform, helping me on my way to my 13st target and helping me get the fitness bug back that i lost a couple of years ago. it hasn't been easy but has been fantastic for my own health and wellbeing as i feel so much fitter, stronger and healthier both physically and mentally.

there are some amazing efforts from all our team and we still have a way to go until the final weigh ins on april 1st.

🐛6 month transformation 🦋~~ same intense face - same exercise - different girl~~ the photo on the left was taken 8 weeks into our fitness journey. this was one of the first times i even allowed a photo to be taken. the photo on the right was from last nights shoulder blowout. ~~ 6 months of tears, doubt, sore muscles, thoughts of quitting, ups, downs, determination, grit and grind. it wasn’t easy. the hard work has paid off in more ways than what is visible in the “after” photo. the girl on the left was unhappy with herself, unhealthy and physically weak. the girl on the right is stronger and healthier than ever...inside and out! i have fallen in love with fitness and especially weightlifting. 8 months in and i can’t wait to see what the journey has in store as we keep rocking it out, one curl, one squat, one deadlift at a time. #findyourstrong #neverquit #keepgoingnomatterwhat #fitnessjourney #fitnessmotivation #bodybuilding #weightlossmotivation

There’s nothing wrong with wanting better for yourself
2017: i hated the way my face looked but i wouldn’t stop making poor food choices.
it took me awhile to learn that you can’t have it both ways lol🤷🏾‍♀️
comfort foods were my go to, especially when i was in my feelings about something. i still have my moments but definitely not as bad as i once was.
if you struggle with binge eating, emotional eating @justeenfitness shared a post up on her page with so many great tips to help you through that.
i know it’s not easy , just take it one day at a time.

these exercises are great for toning and building the abs. building abs is all about repetition, consistency, and diet! doing abs once a week may not get the results you want, but doing them every day and eating right will! all three exercise activates both the lower and upper body. as always be sure to keep your core tight, spine straight and breath while exercising! these exercises can be done in a circuit or sets! ⁣

Bit of a different post for today.
these pictures were taken roughly a year apart. the first is from today, the second from feb 24, 2019. while i wouldn't say i weighed much more then than i do now (maybe like 10-15 pounds difference), my jutting ribs were a painful indicator of my need to s**k my guy in to feel confident in how i looked. while i don't think i'll ever get away from ribs that show, as i've always had a pretty wide ribcage, to not have that desire anymore is a huge win in my book.

One of the things i am loving about the burn amplify program i’m doing through @lesmillsondemand is that it’s making me try workouts i would never usually do. this morning i was not thrilled about doing body balance however now i am feeling really good for doing it! plus i love that i’m not having to decide which workouts i need to do each day 🎉🎉

Upper body workout
bicep curls (i did drop sets 6 reps at 20# and 10 reps at 15#).
overhead tricep extension 20# 12 reps and then straight into tricep dips for 12 reps.
single arm chest presses because it is so good for the core. when you do unilateral exercises you have to engage your core for balance. 8 reps per side with 30#.
palms go elbows 12 reps total.
repeat each exercise for 3 rounds.

Happy friday everyone! today is a day i am reflecting a lot on my physical past and how far i’ve come. in high school, i struggled with a severe eating disorder. anorexia and bulimia almost took my life during those years. i struggled with self love, self respect, and body image. at my lowest weight, i decided to turn my life around. soon after, i had fallen pregnant with my daughter and gained 100 pounds. i weighed 220 pounds. my highest weight i’ve ever been in my life. i took extreme and unsustainable measures to get the weight off. slowly, the weight came back and i gained about 60 pounds during college. i weighed 185 pounds on graduation day. my health problems took a turn for the worst in 2018, i had back to back surgeries to remove multiple tumours. i suffered daily from pain in my knees, hips, and my immune system was so weak i could barely leave my house. i promised myself, 2019 will be a better year for my physical and mental health. over the course of 2019, i started hitting the gym 3-5 times a week, weighing all my food, making sure to hit my calories and not under eat for quick results. i made the commitment for a long time but my anxiety became so terrible that i couldn’t bring myself to go to the gym anymore. i still ate a balanced diet and kept most of my weight off going into 2020. for christmas, my boyfriend got me a personal trainer @nolimits_training . having a trainer has changed my entire life. my trainer is always there to encourage me and remind me of my long term goals for my health. i’m so thankful for where i stand today in my body and mind. i’m happy on a day to day basis and my self love is bursting. if you ever feel like giving up or that you’ll never love yourself or lose the weight or not feel worthy... dont give up! recovery and a health journey is not a race to the finish line but a life style. make the changes, work hard, and you won’t be disappointed. ❤️
