How can your body be "woke?"

i think being woke in your body involves paying attention to it. it means eating nutrient dense and delicious food right for you, sleeping enough (and having good sleep hygiene), and being active.

it also means slathering your skin with lotion, going to the doctor regularly, visiting the dentist, doing your hair, and wearing sunblock (or maybe a broad brim hat and sunglasses).

it might mean massages and green smoothies.

more than anything, it means listening to your body and allowing it to heal and provide you with an amazing life experience. .

Dinner for doug and myself, my last night here. doug has already lost weight and plans on keeping it up with eating good food that is designed to help us and heal us. i am so appreciative of doug sharing his home with me, dragging me to the store almost daily. which is really important when eating fresh and healthy foods. god is so good to me, to all of us. i followed my heart which led me to denton tx. after meeting jeff primack i knew my life's purpose was aligning at much higher vibrations. i came to florida to learn from jeff and his life long work of science in food and applying it to healing the body. without hesitation i knew i was meant to be here. i also wanted to desperately take the level 2 qigong instructor course but thought i would have to wait till next year. again following my heart and a push or two from two people i chose to stay and take this course so that i may be able to touch people, learn and grow in this next year instead of waiting to take these classes. i am honored to be here and it's by the grace of god i am coming home tomorrow with my fire lit and much like a train i'm on a roll. my passion for love, life and healing is full force. i can't wait to share with everyone and plan on doing all i can for each and everyone that is interested in food healing and qigong techniques. with love 💙💜💚!

Quinoa has become a pantry staple for me. i like the red quinoa just because it’s pretty(tastes the same) it really helps with easy and filling dinner combinations to toss together. tonight it made for some tasty burritos.
ingredients-
olive oil
1 peeled and diced yam
1/2 diced sweet onion
1/2 package extra firm tofu diced
1 can drained rinsed black beans
1 can drained rinsed pinto beans
1 cup rinsed red quinoa
1 cup vegetable broth
1 can rotel diced tomatoes and chili’s
1 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp cumin powder
2 tbsp chili powder
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
2 tsp tajin seasoning
salt to taste
drizzle a little olive oil in your pan. sauté diced onions,diced tofu and diced yam. will that’s on the stove put your can rotel in the blender to turn to liquid, it makes about 1 cup. once all have nice browned color add 1 cup rotel liquid and 1 cup vegetable broth, beans and quinoa. add all seasoning stir and bring to boil. lower heat and cook until quinoa is ready.
serve with guacamole on a tortilla. makes a full skillet to feed the family. you could easily cut this in half for 2-3 people.
fresh guacamole - 3 mashed avocados,juice 1 lime, 1/4 onion minced, 1/2 jalapeño seeded and minced.
