for all those who feel caught and anxious in their own homes because it’s #unfamiliar to be sitting home non stop for so long, please exercise / do yoga everyday and practice meditation.
to #meditate means to simply sit everyday in #silence for about 20 mins ( yes keep a soft volume timer alarm on if that helps ) just literally sit cross legged, with your bum touching the back of the wall/ seat and then start with taking deep breaths... hands on your knees. eyes closed.
feel your belly rise as you inhale and drop while you exhale. simple way to remember : think of your stomach like a balloon that inflates when you #breathe in ( #inhale ) and deflates when you breathe out ( #exhale )

just simply #focus on your breath.
don’t force yourself to blank out, or get disturbed if your
mind wanders. (it’s quite natural. everyone’s #mind wanders when they don’t practice meditation regularly. )
every-time you get a thought, simply bring your focus back to your breath and feel the air go into your nostrils and inside you.... and energise you...
and then slowly exhale, and feel the air thorough your nostrils come out.... repeat as long as you can, with no disturbances of notifications on your phone, or tv noises or anything. just give these 20 mins of a #gift to yourself everyday and see how good you feel.

less panic after watching the news.
more in control... knowing it’s best to work on your own health and immunity!
don’t waste this time worrying and discussing the same tv news over and over again with friends and family. do what’s in your control. .

I have one. it ain't #perfect yet, i went too far with #safety and doubled this #swissmade #piqué #cottonblend because i read that dish drying towels #fabric is the most #effective / #efficient and this is the next of kin.

What has quarantine given us?

i have been practising breathing meditation and realised how less of oxygen i was filling in my lungs. how much more i could do for the vitals of my body to get the oxygen.

آگاه بودن از تنفس توجه را از افکار برداشته و فضاگشایی می‌کند. این یکی از راه‌های ایجاد آگاهی است.
از نفس کشیدنت آگاه باش. به این احساسِ نَفَس توجه کن. این هوایی که به درون بدن می‌رود و خارج می‌شود را احساس کن. توجه کن که چطور قفسه سینه و شکم با دم و بازدم کمی منقبض و منبسط می‌شود. یک تنفس آگاهانه کافی است تا درجایی که پیش‌ازاین، جریان افکار، بی‌وقفه ادامه داشتند فضایی ایجاد شود. یک تنفس آگاهانه (اگر دو یا سه تا باشند حتی بهتر است) که چندین بار در روز انجام شود، یک راه عالی برای آوردن فضا به زندگی‌تان است.
در حقیقت تنفس چیزی نیست که شما انجامش دهید بلکه چیزی است که شما شاهد اتفاق افتادنش هستید. تنفس خود به خودی اتفاق میفتد. این شعور و آگاهیِ درون بدن است که این کار را انجام می‌دهد. تنها کاری که باید انجام دهید مشاهده آن است. هیچ تلاش و کوششی در کار نیست. همچنین به وقفه‌ی کوتاه تنفس نیز توجه کنید به‌خصوص سکونِ انتهای بازدم پیش از اینکه دوباره دم را شروع کنید.
آگاه بودن از تنفس شما را وارد لحظه حال یعنی کلید تمام تحولات درونی می‌کند. هرزمان که شما از نفس کشیدنتان آگاه باشید، کاملاً حضور دارید. همچنین ممکن است متوجه شوید که نمی‌توانید هم فکر کنید و هم از تنفستان آگاه باشید. تنفس آگاهانه ذهنتان را متوقف می‌کند.

breathing together✨two months ago i assisted @maxstromofficial in the first two weeks of his inner axis teacher training. a talented group of students from all over europe, learning how to teach and help heal people from their stress, anxiety, depression and sleep dysfunction, through deep breathing and mindful movement. on the last day, we hugged each other goodbye, assuming we would meet again in 6 weeks. little did we know then. team max has worked very hard these past two weeks to transition the second part of the training from offline, to online. because the world needs breathwork teachers, especially now!

nitric oxide is a gas that is always building up in the nasal cavity. nitric oxide provides a first-line defense against micro-organisms through its antiviral and antimicrobial activity.

nasal breathing harnesses nitric oxide and therefore “conditions” the air you breathe.

when you breathe through your nose, you will also breathe more efficiently. the breath will be deeper, because the nose is linked to the main breathing muscle diaphragm.

because the breath is deeper and more efficient, you will end up breathing less total volume of air. the less air you breathe, the less micro-organisms you have to defend against.

when you think about it from the perspective of human evolution it makes total sense that the body has created an adaptation to get the good stuff in and keep the bad stuff out.

Since breath, body, and mind are connected when the nature of the breathing is calm the body and the mind will be immersed in a state of calmness as well. ✨
follow this easy technique to release agitation and disturbances. ✨
1) place your phone on silent
2) sit in a comfortable position, close the eyes
3) relax the jaw and the shoulders, spine straight
4) observe the flow of your natural breath without changing, it, without judging it
5) as you take the in breath mentally say, “as i breath in i calm my whole body”
6) as you take the out breath, mentally say“as i breath out i calm my whole body.” 6) repeat
7) when the practice is finished sit with your eyes closed and observe how you feel, without judgement. simply notice. continue to sit for a few minutes before going about your day. ✨
tip: visualize the inhale and exhale as an uninterrupted flow, matching the length of the in breath with the one of the out breath. ✨

every breath can be a prayer; every breath is a blessing. when you let go of the breath, you can let go of whatever it is that is holding you back

if you practice letting go of the breathe you develop the ability to let go of many other things

Virtual mindful hiking group mojo... missed being able to share an actual sunday morning hike with everyone & also very appreciative to those who joined me this morning for 30minutes of verbal & visual online time together with interpersonal sharing, mindful breathing practices & meditative visualizations... asher & i enjoyed our hike in the light rain after the sessio, we thought of all of you and all those we've hiked with over the years...
